Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.


Media

If you upload images to the site, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from uploaded images.


Cookies

  • If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.
  • If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to check if your browser accepts cookies. It is discarded when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, cookies are used to save your login info and display choices. Login cookies last 2 days; screen option cookies last 1 year. If you select “Remember Me,” login persists for 2 weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.
  • If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved (no personal data included). It expires after 1 day.
